Refund Policy

Overview

This Refund Policy explains how Gitscout handles cancellations, billing disputes, and refund requests for paid subscriptions purchased through Lemon Squeezy.

Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the customer billing portal. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and will not renew automatically.

Refund Eligibility

We review refund requests case by case. A refund may be considered when:

  • You were charged more than once for the same billing period.
  • You experienced a verified billing error caused by our system.
  • You requested a refund shortly after an initial purchase and have made minimal use of the service.

Non-Refundable Charges

Except where required by law, the following are generally non-refundable:

  • Renewal payments for active subscriptions that were not cancelled before renewal.
  • Partial billing periods after a subscription has started.
  • Charges incurred after substantial use of the product during the billing period.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@gitscout.app with the email address tied to your purchase, the date of the charge, and a short explanation of the issue. We may ask for additional details needed to verify the request.

Review Timeline

We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days. If approved, the refund will be issued back to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy or the underlying payment processor, and bank processing times may vary.

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is fraudulent, contact us first so we can investigate. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and can result in suspension of your account while the dispute is being reviewed.
